Happy Birthday Apryl!

this is once again a traditional Happy Birthday post for my good friend Apryl who I don't spend as much time with as I wish...and I know it's my fault...this is part of my New Year's Resolution - to be a better friend...and she is one of the people I want to be better to!

sooo instead of 5 things i love about this girl, I'm going to post 5 things i hope we do together this year! whoo!

1. take our camera's on a play date...our DSLRs and our Polaroids!

2. take another trip to Starbucks for girl talk, with Evan tagging along....hahaha!

3. at least one of her awesome parties!  so fun and creative!  (she hosted the Halloween party i went to last year)

4. do something artsy!  Apryl is an arts major and very talented so I would like to be in that 'world' with her!

5. pool days and summer nights....i love the pool at your house!  and i want to watch a movie after a day spent splashing in the water and basking in the sun! yes please!

sorry for my absence...in general really...

i have been very sick. but i am finally feeling better! guyyyyyys so i got something really exciting to show you all! my new best friend camry! she is a Nikon D70 and i dont really know how to use her. i played with her for a couple hours at the park this past weekend, i will try to upload some pictures to show off her talents!

also i really want to make my blog look cool and get in a better habit of taking pictures again and posting them and having a cute blog hahahha

last night was the National Championship game...Texas vs. Alabama...and Alabama won. No bueno, and my boy Colt was injured in the 5th play of the game. Texas had complete control of the game before he was forced out of the game though. He pleaded with his coaches to let him back in the game but with an injury thats not really the best thing for Colt.

this is what colt had to say to the press about injury. "I always give God the glory. I never question why things happen. God is in control of my life and I am standing on the Rock." YES SIR! thats our quarterback! class act....will miss you and your roomie mister Jordan Shipley!

it was a good ride though...Texas fans definitely showed that we love our team! and we will see you next year and you best believe that Garrett Gilbert will be ready and be looking for redemption. and college football is officially over for another year....what will i do all Saturday long?

I know I'm way late guys...but seriously Happy 2010!

I'm so glad that 2009 is over, aren't you? Although, 2010 started with two of the hardest conversations I have ever had in my life, I feel like it's going to be a refreshing year! YAY!

Ramblings about the New Year:

• I joined a gym....it's not like it's my resolution to lose weight becasue I don't believe in resolutions, in fact, I have been working out pretty regularly but with day light saving and the cold it's screwing up my schedule....I even worked out before work this am...at 530 am, just to be healthier!
• I'm turning 23 this year...I dont know how I feel about that...actually to be honest I don't like it or want it to come at all! I feel like 23 is WAY more grown up than 22 and I don't think I am ready....or willing dammit!
• I feel like all my friends are getting engaged which means fun weddings this year but I feel like I'm moving toward independence...i think the love ship might have passed for me...but I'm okay with it (i said it! and it felt weird...but i said it! and its true!)
• I miss my sorority sisters like a lot...I want to be a better sister to them! I know the communication loss has been largely my fault since graduation and I plan to match that up with lots of sorry's and please forgive me's
• my New York City vacation is coming up! whooo! I need advice on what to do there though - hahaha ideas guys?

i went and saw Avatar on Sunday night...okay so there is so much hype about this movie - it being the most expensive movie to date, directed by James Cameron (director of Titanic, the most expensive movie previous to Avatar), nominated for four Golden Globes, 3D....blah blah blah. so yes...visually this movie is amazing! its not as clear as I thought it would be though, some scenese I feel the outter edges of the screen becoming a little blurry. I also feel like the neon EVERYTHING was a little ridiculous. BUT i don't feel a visually stimulating movie nessecarily means the movie was great. Story wise I thought it was a terrible movie. It is basically an updated Fern Gully/Pocahontas mash up, with neon and cat people! also this movie doesn't move along very quickly...they spend a lot of time explaining things that were already clearly known as it was inferred by characters reactions or past moods toward certain situations.

soooo i know im in the small minority that don't think this movie is stellar...and im okay with that. go see it though....its way cool...but sit next to the edge, it's long and you will need to take a bathroom break mid-movie!

Wish List!

its only a week until Christmas! what? how did that happen? and how do i get an extra week? I'm not ready! between being sick and being insanely busy i have had no time to shop for anyone...ugh and I can't go home without any presents!


anyways...what do you want for Christmas? this is what I want....(I actually havn't shared this list with a single person so I won't get anything on this list but maybe money and gift cards will buy me some)
a flip video recorder! how cute is this little guy? and it has the USB so it plugs directly into your computer! i love capturing little moments of life so this would be so much fun to mess around with! one problem: my laptop is too full to even get pictures off my camera, what would I do with all the video!

a pair of Christian Louboutin heels! i love heels ya'll and shoes in general! so I think I need these! hahah keep in mind this is a WISH list....no I can't afford to spend this kind of money on shoes...but if i did i would have a black pair and a nude pair! (im throwin on my louboutins im throwin on my louboutins -jLo anyone?)

I want to be this girl!!! but i need a pink Snuggie to do so! soooo anyone who knows me knows that I love to cuddle with a blankie...like all the time! I keep my house cooler than comfortable to force myself to always be under a blanket! I have a favorite but I'm thinking a pink Snuggie might just become my new favorits should I own one :) SNUG LOVE!

thats right...A KITTEN! I miss having a kitty around...Zoey was such a good little cat while she lasted! I just want a healthy kitten this time that will live longer than 5 months! My apartment is lonely without a little fur ball running around and welcoming me home! ...sigh... but anyways I think I am ready for a brand new little baby now!

i really want to get a letter from a school that wants to teach me how to do this that says please come here! dream come true maybe? ahhhh this waiting this is kinda getting old and i just want to know already!
