i went and saw Avatar on Sunday night...okay so there is so much hype about this movie - it being the most expensive movie to date, directed by James Cameron (director of Titanic, the most expensive movie previous to Avatar), nominated for four Golden Globes, 3D....blah blah blah. so yes...visually this movie is amazing! its not as clear as I thought it would be though, some scenese I feel the outter edges of the screen becoming a little blurry. I also feel like the neon EVERYTHING was a little ridiculous. BUT i don't feel a visually stimulating movie nessecarily means the movie was great. Story wise I thought it was a terrible movie. It is basically an updated Fern Gully/Pocahontas mash up, with neon and cat people! also this movie doesn't move along very quickly...they spend a lot of time explaining things that were already clearly known as it was inferred by characters reactions or past moods toward certain situations.

soooo i know im in the small minority that don't think this movie is stellar...and im okay with that. go see it though....its way cool...but sit next to the edge, it's long and you will need to take a bathroom break mid-movie!

Wish List!

its only a week until Christmas! what? how did that happen? and how do i get an extra week? I'm not ready! between being sick and being insanely busy i have had no time to shop for anyone...ugh and I can't go home without any presents!


anyways...what do you want for Christmas? this is what I want....(I actually havn't shared this list with a single person so I won't get anything on this list but maybe money and gift cards will buy me some)
a flip video recorder! how cute is this little guy? and it has the USB so it plugs directly into your computer! i love capturing little moments of life so this would be so much fun to mess around with! one problem: my laptop is too full to even get pictures off my camera, what would I do with all the video!

a pair of Christian Louboutin heels! i love heels ya'll and shoes in general! so I think I need these! hahah keep in mind this is a WISH list....no I can't afford to spend this kind of money on shoes...but if i did i would have a black pair and a nude pair! (im throwin on my louboutins im throwin on my louboutins -jLo anyone?)

I want to be this girl!!! but i need a pink Snuggie to do so! soooo anyone who knows me knows that I love to cuddle with a blankie...like all the time! I keep my house cooler than comfortable to force myself to always be under a blanket! I have a favorite but I'm thinking a pink Snuggie might just become my new favorits should I own one :) SNUG LOVE!

thats right...A KITTEN! I miss having a kitty around...Zoey was such a good little cat while she lasted! I just want a healthy kitten this time that will live longer than 5 months! My apartment is lonely without a little fur ball running around and welcoming me home! ...sigh... but anyways I think I am ready for a brand new little baby now!

i really want to get a letter from a school that wants to teach me how to do this that says please come here! dream come true maybe? ahhhh this waiting this is kinda getting old and i just want to know already!

do you trust people?

im struggling right now to trust people, even my friends and family. like really. i mean the moment that you trust someone they just walk all over you. even if they promise that they would never hurt you or even if they aren't hurting you on purpose something will go down and make you crazy. its really annoying kind of. like i want to trust people...i dont want to become one of those closed off, guarded, emo kids but ya know what! that might be exactly what ive become!

and i realize that forgiveness is something that i should give freely just as Jesus forgave those that killed him and just as he forgives me for my daily sin. BUT its really hard for me. i feel that forgiveness sometimes breeds a culture of like, yea you can screw me over cause i will always be there will a second chance. screw chances dude! why can't people just stay on chance one and do the right thing! i know i know i mess up too...a lot! i admit im working on being a better friend so im like a walking contradiction right now im just a little annoyed of being the bigger person.

so pray for me! that i learn to be more forgiving...like i want to be as forgiving as Jesus is! and i know i will never ever be that but its a good goal.

also pray for good sleep and health...im exhausted and fever-y!

Happy Birthday Melody!!!

guys im a really really really really bad best friend....to my best friend....Melody :( but luckily she understands that my life sorta crumpled on her birthday week so she is getting an extra exciting birthday poster today! only ya know...10 days late! (sorrysorrysorry)

so i think Melody deserves a '20 things i love about Melody' list becasue she is the best and she turned 23 on December 1! I will also try to include as many pictures as possible...hahah...we have a lot over the years...i will have to add some when I get on my other computer as well!

sooooo happy birthday to this girl!

1. I love how Melody doesn't call anyone their acutal name....like NO ONE! Her mom - Frella, me - Abileigh, my mom - Momma S, my dad - Pappa S....haha its kind of ridiculous but I have a weird love for nicknames AND my first name and middle name jammed together! it makes me think that I'm like little Laura from Little House on the Prairie...hahah!

2. i love love love this girls family! they are so funny and so nice to me....they are literally like my other family. I love to just hang out with them - weird right? Especially watching Big Brother with them! hahah and arguing with her Dad! so fun! Here is a pic of me with Melody's family in Playa del Carmen one summer in high school!

3. she has the most adorable little boy in the world! Daniel James. I really believe he has done a lot for her as a person and i can't imagine a cute-r little kid! i love him! Just look at this picture!

4. so Melody kind of brings out my fun, crazy, wild side! I'm usually pretty reserved and conservative but she kinda pushes me out of that...in a good way....not in an over the top way! I think in that sense we are great for each other because we kind of balance each other out! but man would i have been in trouble if Melody went to college with me...jusssayin....this pic is of her and Monique 'dropping' me off at my college dorm room TEAR (this makes me seriously cry)

5. this is a weird thing to like i think but its truth...we weren't exactly friends at first site! we had 7th grade biology together and rode the same bus...i don't know where my dislike for Melody started or where it turned into like either really but haha it cracks me up that i was DEF mean to her on the bus (omgshhhh im evil for that cracking me up) but i think it's cuz i really LOOOOOVED some of the boys on my bus and i didn't want any girl walking up on my turf

6. I LOVE MY BIG BROTHER PARTNER YALL! we are obessed with big brother and we watch after dark and i talk to her about almost every episode....really....big brother consumes my life over the summers and ive realized working full time over the summer is not okay! having a show that you MUST watch every night from 10p-2am is NOT OKAY....but we were hardxcore for awhile! hahah! Big Brother Parties! Keith calling Melody's dad Cappy! hahahhaha! the best!

7. so melody is kind of like a know it all about life! i feel like anytime im like hmmm who does that work i call melody and she knows! like domestic life - she knows, cool new gadgets - she knows and probably owns haha, how to cook chicken - she knows! so proud of her!

8. shes just funny! and she has like an infectious laugh! lol i love her laugh...i wish i had an audible (? WTF i just said that) of her laugh...im not a stalker i swear...yikes!

9. clothes clothes and more clothes! all available for me to borrow! LOVE! this is shows that she is a very very giving and trusting person!

10. once upon a time she bought me the best christmas present ever that forever changed my life and which i am eternally grateful...MY CHI STRAIGHTENER! What would I have ever done had that not come into my life! I'm not a makeup girl...im a straight hair girl...can't live one day without my straightener! hahaha just look in my About Me im obessed! and I owe it all to my BFF!

11. i love that when i am away for a long time due to college and just living in another town and come back home its like we havn't skipped a beat! we are just normal....our friendship really hasn't changed and im really really thankful for that esp when ive been feeling like all my friendships are rocky i know i have that solid ground with Melody and always will....and i can just text her or call her (probably text...i do hate talking on the phone) and she will make me laugh and all my worries will just go away and then i will hang up (or the equivalent in texting land) and miss Tomball and miss my senior year and miss Mexico summer trips!

12. okay so I've had so many wonderful oppurutunities in my life because of Melody and her family! I've seen more than I ever thought I would. They took me to Cancun, Benihana's, Playa del Carmen, George Straight at the Houston Rodeo, a hockey game where we met SpongeBob, Kenny Chesney in Dallas....like tons and tons and tons of stuff that I would never have gotten to do, big or small, I got to do with her!

13. This is a picture from Facebook...but I LOVED this class with Melody...haha! this is so old guys! We both had a little crush on a certain someone in this class so we would always cause trouble with him....so much fun!

14. PROM! only like one of the best nights of my life! i love that we were in the same prom group! ugh it was really amazing and i miss it so much and we looked soooo good that night! i remember getting ready at my house as the limo and everyone else was ALREADY THERE i was still trying to find my shoes and purse and get everything together so I kinda sent Melody out to greet everyone hahahah for once she got ready faster than i did! and i love the picture of Melody me and her dad at my house before prom! idk why but her dad cracks me up like literally he is so funny and that picture is just precious! (yikes there i go again saying crazy things like precious!)

15. Melody has also taken my favorite picture of me ever! hahah it was also from prom hahaha it cracks me up...just look at my face...pissed dude! hahahahha

16. lol all of our middle of the day runs to Chick-fil-a for sweet tea and french fries...haha my all time favorite drink and food! we literally would stop by Chick-fil-a like everyday for a tea fix and we would drink it in like 8 minutes! a LARGE sweet tea! hence my sick addiction to sweet tea! hmmm .... at least now I've moved to half and half right?

17. Melody is one of the best present buyers i know! you know that person that always finds the perfect thing for you and you use it all the time and can't pictures your life without it but prior to owning it you didn't even know you needed it? thats Melody! seriously! it drives me crazy and makes it very very very hard for me to buy her things! but thanks for the gifts your awesome! (oh and I have gifts for your kid at my house from his birthday lololol)

18. okay this girl and her driving! lets talk about that for one second....so i have long hair...did most of high school too...and this girl LOVES to drive fast with the windows DOWN and music blaring! hahaha it kind of drove me crazy sometimes but sometimes when I'm stressed I do that now and think of all the crazy stuff that we did in her truck! hahaha not gross crazy (ew people) we were just very very silly sixteen year olds!

19. i envy her i dont give a eff attitude about people who do her wrong....i wish i could cut people who hurt me or at least stand up to them the way that Melody can...im weak in that area! but Melody is confident in who she is and isn't afraid to tell anyone what she is thinking or how they have hurt her or done wrong by her...honesty is the best policy! not holding it in unitl you explode which is the story of my life...sigh....

20. lastly, Melody is just the most complete all around friend I have ever had. We have shared the best times and worst times of our lives together...we had each other when our grandpa's both died senior year, we celebrated our high school graduation together, we've been through many break ups together and even through marriage and childbirth...haha...its weird but shes the one person i can see in my life forever omgsh sad! i miss her but i think the distance has made our friendship better and stronger and like we know distance wont change anything! hahaha ok ok ok mushy OVER!

so last night i went to the spurs game...yup! fun times! and they were playing the sacramento kings...whose jerseys are clearly purple right....clearly.....

purple right? right! but when you look on the jumbotron or the TV they look BLUE! like dark dark blue! a completely different color! hahaha it was freaking me out all game! okay so ive never watched the kings on TV but I kept wondering if the Lakers ever have this same problem and if purple is the color they want to be why don't they choose a pigment that doesn't appear BLUE on TV?....idk....it was fun game though!

Longhorns over Aggies! HELL YESSS!

so tomorrow is thanksgiving which means turkey and dressing and cranberry sauce and TEXAS VS. A&M! only the biggest college rivalry in America! haha i dont k now if that is true but since i live in Texas it is a reality to me!

NEW MOOON Midnight Premiere

yessss guys...yesterday (or this morning rather) i went to the midnight premiere of Twilight. luckily we had tickets in the VIP theater, which requires you to be 18 and up because there is a bar right outside the door, so we didn't have to deal with the crazy crowds as much. Corey and I still got there at about 8 though...I helped her grade some papers to pass the time...but once we were let into the actual theater (around 10) the time passed soooo grueling slow.

but on to the movie review! so i will start off my saying that i have not read the books so i do not know how this story ends and all my opinions are strictly based on what is presented on screen. i thought the movie was cute, rather predictable though. also, the cheese in this movie is unprecedent! so many one liners! i didn't expect it to be like that at all, but man these boys and there pick up lines! I really don't want to give away too much of the movie because I know that many of you will go see it in the next few days...

so out of 5 stars i would give it a mere 3!

Random Twilight Ramblings:

• The theater had compivatrative cups....really?
• Taylor Lautner (who plays Jacob) has the most amazing abs in the world
• What is so special about Bella? isn't there hotter girls to drool over (hahah drool..get it? werewolves? im cracking up right now BTW)
• Whose idea was it for vampires to dress so proper? And Bella to dress so plain...I mean if I had a vampire appearing in my life that dressed like that I would try to look the part to belong next to him...
• Best shirt of the night: TEAM EDWARD (except when Jacob has his shirt off) hahhaha!
• It took me 35 minutes to get out of the movie theater parking lot FAIL
• Wolverine pretzel fights are the best! (whats up Corey, Jennifer and Nicole!)
• The running scene is out of control! Pull your dress out from your legs please Bella!

okay so the next phase of the Twilight discussion...everybody always ask you whose 'team' you are on....so I am team Edward. I think it is clear in the movie that Bella never LOVES Jacob...she won't kiss him and everytime Edward pops up she throws him to the side, he is more like her little whipping boy than a crush. So you might say but Edward left her to die...I say he was trying to protect her and I don't know what happens next but I genuinely felt remoarse when Edward found out she hadn't died. And he was completely thankful that Jacob had saved her life. I do believe that sometimes when you love something/someeone so much you have to realize when you need to let them go...that's what I feel Edward was doing.

so thats that! im dead exhausted! going to Austin tonight to go out on 6th if the rain lets up! lets hope so! and Saturday...im doing nothing at all! Pray that I make it to Saturday acutally....my body might just say game over!

sooo can i rant for 4 minutes without you judging the hell outta me? probably not? oh well here it goes....

okay so wether you are a size 4 or a size 14 or a size 24 PLEASE GIRLS do not under any circumstances get married to a size....but that I mean saying things like I will never buy a size 10 because I am an 8 in these particular jeans and I will only buy 8...8 8 8 8! If an 8 doesn't fit and gives you love handles...PUT ON A SIZE 10! You will look much better I promise! and guess what? NO ONE knows what size the jeans are when you have them on! that's right...your little secert! you can even cut out the tag and trick yourself! ughhhh i have had it up to here (my chin) with girls not looking cute because they are obessed with a 'size'. Now I'm not the skinniest girl on the planet...I have my faults....but I know I can't wear a size 8 okay i just CANT! but I don't try....yes I can get them on and close them BUT NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT MESS! I can wear my bigger size and look a lot cute-er.....and acutally in the long run skinnier!

yesterday morning...the morning after the Spurs game in which I came in at 1am from....I was walking out of my apt to my car and I get there and my phone goes off, so I get my phone outta my purse and open up a text message and start texting back when all of a sudden I lose my balance in my heels and fall over! hahah I was just standing and texting and I fell! I was so scared that I had ripped my skirt (a black pencil skirt) but luckily only the lining ripped and just a little bit...haha but my leg wasn't so lucky! this pic is from a day out...just a little scraped up! hahaha can you believe I fell for no reason at all besides pure exhaustion? I really need rest ya'll!

WHEW! last night was a blast ya'll! I went to the Spurs game with my friend Natalie (I have missed her sooo very much! She is student teaching this semester and I'm working full time so we struggle to find time to hang out...growing up is a sad day) and got to sit courtside! omgshhh i think i might have been a little too spoiled though because I cannot imagine sitting anywhere else ever again! hahaha some of my friends even saw me on TV! how silly is that! lol look at this pictures! AMAZING! (ps...Natalie had a serious debate on wether it was appropiate to act like she was pinching Manu's behind...lolololol....we were so silly!)

Where The Wild Things Are.

saturday night, what did i do? i went and saw Where The Wild Things Are with my big. it was a really great movie, very dark...suprisingly dark. Have any of you seen it? I think that Max was cast perfectly...that little boy was absolutely beautiful! I am left still questioning everything that happened in the movie though....it doesn't like answer all your questions and your definitely left to fill in the holes with your own mind and imagination. The symbolism of all the "Wild Things" to Max's real life is done very well though and is easy to pick up on. my favorite "Wild Thing" is Douglas and my favorite part is when he walks up with the stick arm after Carol ripped his off!

Halloween

guess who i was for halloween?!? KATE GOSSELIN! hahha so i was going to be octomom but i went to party city with some co-workers and saw the 'Eight Too Many' wig and had to have it. i absolutely loved watching Jon and Kate Plus 8 so i was really excited for my costume! and i think it actually worked out pretty well EXCEPT omgshhh and couple of my rather older c0-workers were all like that hair looks so pretty on you, i think you should cut your hair like that. come again. its a costume people! you don't cut your hair like costume hair. not acceptable. and thats that! im not doing it k! there were some pretty cute costumes at the little party that i went to...i wish i could have stayed out later but i was suuuuuper tired from a crazy day. halloween morning corey and i went to one of her kids (shes a teacher, she doens't have biological kids, no) football game. then we went to sea world! it was really fun....i will post pictures from Sea World soon...hahaha i have a great story for that btw...

Wine Wednesdate!

yesterday was Wednesday so of course Corey and I had our usual Wednesdate! We decided to be fancy this week and bought some wine, crackers, cheese and olives. What a fun little dinner! We also watched Glee this week because SYTYCD was on Monday and Tuesday this week.

When I was waiting for Corey to pick me up at my apartment I noticed that there were a lot of clouds rolling in and were moving really quickly...then I saw one bright open spot where the sun was shining through...so pretty!

Also, (i love this) when we went to Rio de Vino they were having this clever little marketing ploy. There were mystery bags lined up all around the shop with two bottles of wine in each and a price tag. The bag also said what was inside...like 1 red 1 white...or 1 sparkling 1 white....but you coudn't look into the bag to see the actual wine bottles. So of course, Corey and I jumped at the chance to snag a mystery bag! What fun! (We drank the red last night....very yummy, very strong, and great with dark chocolate!

What to do at the Texas State Fair?....

last weekend i went to the State Fair of Texas...and it was lovely!

if anyone knows how that guy in the first picture does it...let me know! i must've walked around him 14 times trying to figure it out!

ugh bathroom pet peeve!

omgshhh im really frustrated...so dont you hate when you have to go to the bathroom and the door is closed but it looks like no one is in there? there is no light coming out of the bottom little slit? i for one do - when you leave the bathroom keep the door open for others to clearlyl see that the bathroom is no longer occupied! comon people! when its closed you have to do that awkward knock thing that no one really likes and what it someone is actually in there! you succeeded in not only freaking yourself out but also interupting their bathroom time! the open door policy also aids in clearing out any smells - when you close the door it has no where to go! YUCK! and that goes for good smells as well, such as air freshener, no one wants so much scent in the air that it follows you back to your destination! sorry but country apple is not something i want to smell on my clothes all day long 'cause you left the DOOR CLOSED! open it up people!

Love Happens!

so last night Corey and I had a Tuesday...instead of our usual Wednesdate...because I am meeting up with Daisy tomorrow. but anyways we decided to go to Canyon Cafe (absolutely delicious - I highly recommend the Lemon Salmon) and went to watch Love Happens!

so the movie was super cute! its the cheesy Jen Aniston chick flick but what girl doesn't love that? it did have some drama though - Aaron Eckhark plays a motivational speaker that helps people deal with the tragic lose of a loved one yet he is not facing the reality that his wife was killed in a car accident one night when he had been driving. Jennifer Aniston who plays Eloise is so cute - her flower shop is absolutely adorable and he winter/rainy clothing (the movie was shot in Seattle) make me wish it was a little colder in Texas, or that it was appropiate to wear cute beanies everyday! the cutest part of this movie is you learn the meaning of crazy words such as poppysmic - the sound your lips make when you smack them together! but i wont give that away!

soooo new subject! just wanted to let you guys know that you can get the Sherwood album Qu on Amazon for $2.99! how great is that! this is what "The Album Project" had to say about the new album. ‘QU’ articulates the simplicity of summer wrapped around a catchy melody. Sherwood has gone back in time to re-live their first EP, not so much to recreate the music, but to bring back the feelings you originally got from the music.

Chalk It Up!

sooo this weekend i went to this event in downtown san antonio called chalk it up. it raised money and awareness for contemporary art in the san antonio area through a program called artpace. it was really cool - my favorite part was seeing all the little kids enjoying the weather and time with their families drawing on the streets of their city. I on ly wish it hadn't rained the next day, the streets could of used the drawings for just a little longer, dontcha think?

omgshhhhh guys! today has been pretty intense!

so this morning i got up and went to church with michael as i do every sunday! church was great as usual and then we went and ate at Bigz....a pretty cool burger joint here in SA. the weather has been a drag though - its cold (61ish which is FREEZING to Texans) and rainy....but not like rainy drops is like moist grossness in the air...i hate that! like comon rain or dont but pick one!

but at Bigz the strangest thing happened....i got a migrane headache! never before have i had one! acutally, i assumed that people that complained of migranes simply could not deal with the hurt of a normal headache so complained like it was the worst pain in the world...i apologize for this migrane sufferers! migrane pain is REAL! it is 100% debilitating.

oh so i come home and the guy that lives above me decided to buy a drum set...really? FML! you suck at playing and you pick the day i have a migrane to play allllllllll day! and i have had too many crazy experiences at my apartment complex to go knock on his door - who knows how or what will answer! soooo all day i was in bed, crying, praying that the drums and vibrations would just stop....well i am glad to report it stopped like 40 min ago! WHOOOO PTL! (praise the lord)


now im sipping starbucks (a good dinner right?) and watching desperate housewives....please someone kick me in the butt and make me do laundry...im sure my co-workers would appreciate me wearing clean clothes to work tomorrow!

• Texas beats Texas Tech, the team that royally screwed up Texas' season and number 1 ranking last season, leading to them not playing in the BCS Championship! McCoy really has to get better if Texas has a shot this year though...its rather depressing...he can't do anything in the first half to save his life...i love you man, but really? And Shipley, GET OPEN! - i want to see your face on the TV screen as much as possible! lol



• Washington beats USC! WASHINGTON BEATS USC! yes folks crazy, I know! USC was ranked 3rd going into this week, they will fall! so there has been 2 top 5 upsets already...and this is week 3 people!



• Virgina Teach beats Nebraska...now this game was full of excitement.
