FYI: Graphic Pictures Posted

Today at school I noticed that a lot of people were talking about Abortion and Pro-Life vs. Pro-Choice...things I don't typically hear my classmates discussing. I walked out of the science building after my early morning lab and saw what had triggered the discussions...



Ah-ha! soooo I go and take a look. This display is set up in my school's Sombrilla...the center of campus where everyone hangs out until class - the perfect place for a demonstration of this scale. There are tons of people standing around this display sharing their thoughts on abortion, big posters that say free speech on them where people can respond publicly, cops in the background just in case a fight breaks out and a table full of brochures and a sheet to sign declaring whether you thought this was an effective way of communication and should come back to our campus in years to follow. I thought this was really cool and like what a college campus is kind of all about. It's a time where young people are challenged in the beliefs their parents imposed on them and are forced to think for themselves and form their own opinion of our world. The most amazing part was that I heard about this in class...so obviously the display is doing what it was meant to do.

I have never been for abortion but have always had a problem defending it when it comes to being raped. I completely understand the feeling of not being able to love a child of rape and just like hating it and resenting it every single day. On one of the signs there were reasons why people justify abortion. One of them said...The circumstances of my pregnancy are unfair, I hate the father of this baby. and the response was...Do you favor killing a child for the sins of her father? This response was so awesome to me.

InterVarsity, a Christian fellowship that I am in, is doing an Outreach project later this week and the beginning of next week. We will be educating our campus about Human Sex Trafficing. I can only pray that we will provoke conversations in classes and have students standing around our proxy stations having ah-ha moments like I did today.

I'm not Stupid...Promise...

So today after work I was getting my car, as usual, and well I go to work straight after school so at work I change into professional clothes...ok ok so I get to my car and I put my beloved Sperry's, the shoes I wear nearly every day (unless I'm wearing black) because they are 1. cute and 2. closed toed so i can wear them in labs, on the roof of my car and accidently drive off! yikes...my shoes are still on my car! i dont realize this until im home! booo! just to let you know its like the worst week of my life and its only Monday so this is really just the icing on the cake.

PS: if you see my Sperry's on 410 or I-10 please pick them up and gimme a holler! this is what the look like...tear....

On a better note...yesterday when I was driving back to school I stopped at Bucee's (its a big awesome gas station and if your not from texas you probably dont know what im talking about or why its so incredibly awesome...another reason texas is better than your state) and GUESS WHAT!?!? they have a new tshirt! so i bought one with the bday money my parents gave me! take a look :)

Happy Birthday T!

so i came up with the clever idea of dedicating a blog to my friends on their birthdays, yesterday was T's birthday so i will list the 21 reasons (because he turned 21) i think he is cool...k....

1. he is the funniest person i know....we have compatible humor....and thinking about it makes me laugh to myself lol
2. he is my personal Google-r even though he hates that I don't look things up for myself
3. we are traveling to Dubai one day - because it fascinates us - we literally wasted two whole days at working reading about and looking at pictures of Dubai (not kidding)
4. we talk about food at least once every time we talk...fatties!
5. he sends me random links of random crap when im at work, some interesting, some funny, some inappropriate...but all awesome
6. T is super helpful - like when i dont know how to do something, how you cure something...basically the things you would ask your mom or dad for help with i just ask him cuz he will know and not judge me for asking and if he doesn't know he will ask his mom for me hahah and i just noticed everyone reading this minus T will think that is really creepy..and maybe T too (side note: i dont live near my parents)
7. patience....with my computer illiteracy! i mean i think im pretty good but i know nothing compared to him...one time he explained to me what a server was and it took like 30 minutes for me to understand...ha!
8. his huge dislike for the word cute - but i think he is getting used to it :)
9. he has taken on my words....like my Abbey-isms! hmm like he spelled cool like kewl one day and he just copies me...cuz bitch im the bomb like tick tick...jk jk jk
10. he is the youngest person that i know that is so responsible - he really does have his life together and i want to feel like that too
11. he thinks im smart and i love when people think im smart and he thinks i can get into dental school YYYEAAAAAA
12. how dramatic he is when something or someone piss him off...lol! he is so funny when he is mad!
13. when i have a bad day T always answers my depressing emo text that goes soemthing like this 'i have no friends - no one likes me - i hate life' everyone has their moments
14. how we have intentions of studying at school together but end up gossiping about all the randoms slash hotties around us ALL night long
15. T says howdy instead of hi but is not country at all...but was in FFA! hahah awesome
16. he has a 'make yourself happy' attitude about life which is awesome...he isn't attached to things and lives for experience and having fun and wants to move a lot like nm i wont over elaborate cuz it will just annoy everyone...
17. anytime i am lost in SA i can text T and tell him where i am and he helps me get home and answers quickly so that i can change my driving course before its to late which i am reallly thankful for and probably take advantage of too much
18. he is really random and always has a weird story haha and i ususally do too so exchanging them makes me feel normal and happy :)
19. he walks around the mall for no reason on sunny days to get melatin! aww...
20. this one is selfish but he thinks im funny, and tells me often, and it makes me think he is cool and want to be his friend
21. he is really just a great friend, he is there when your mad to listen and when your sad and will tell you if your being dumb for being either, and he laughs at your jokes when you need laughter, and he is just nice...

hmm he might be laughing at some of this because i am not the nice sentimental toward my friends girl and i wouldn't say something like that out loud but i will type it and let him read it and he pretty much already knows i suppose....ok ok ok im done being dumb!

soooo HAPPY BIRTHDAY T! i hope it was awesome and since your still asleep i bet you had a great time too!

Texas Chocolate Cake

So right now I am at my friends house, Jen, and I think that she is AMAZING! Me and Corey just got finished making topographically correct Texas chocolate cake. it is sooo cool. we took a pic - i shall post it later when i get home.


Last night, he is just not that into you was sold out so i saw new in town. it was okay - not great but okay. the older guy that is the love interest is pretty cute too :) and the clothes that homegirl wears are rad! im kinda in love....lover! [anyone see the pumps that faded from navy blue to black - love] omgsh last night i also went to step show presented by alpha phi alpha. it was so cool but i have never felt so white in my life. there were sooo many people there, i would say about 200 and Jaclyn & I were 2 of 4 white people there. btw i love how some people [black people] can dance so well! uhhh not fair! i want rhythm! Ok so I went to the step show with Jaclyn and during the scoring tabulation time they had a dance off to the song stanky leg. i dont know if any of yall know the dance, but i do, and you should YouTube it! its pretty hard to pull off! well Jaclyn enters because no other girl will volunteer herself...haha...she got second and yes she is insane. While at the concert she asked me if I was gonna breast feed my child (when /if i have one...not that i currently have one or am in the predicament where it is something i have to think about in the immediate future) and I said probably not you? and she said no but i will let my husband breastfeed! hmm yes you read that right...

soo i havn't blogged in a month...wtf...i dunno whats wrong with me but anyways....

michael phelps smokes weed. comon michael - really! i was in the middle of reading one of his books when the news hit [im weird] and now i dont know if i think he is more normal because he is faulted or if i think he is a fake and liar and lacks integrity. im really not sure...?...

im a bio major and i realized today that we are so crazy...all of us! i have this class in the business bldg...first one in four years...and everyone there dresses nice and fixes their hair - the girls even wear heels! dont get me wrong, us science girls like to dress up but DEF not to school. the girls in the sci bldg, where i live, wear sweats, nikes and ponytails!

HAHAHH i have to interupt with this story...so my cat just tried to jump from the couch to my kitchen table. On my kitchen table was my Bible...lol so she jumps to the Bible and it starts sliding off the table and slowly slid off with her still attached! hahhaha...awesome :)

i should start collecting my thoughts before i go blogging...readers would probably enjoy that better! oh well...this is how I roll! omgsh T is gonna be 21 in 3 days! fun right? and for anyone who wants to be cooler than they currently are..and did not watch The Office episode after the Superbowl go HuLu it now....forget finishing this blog...its lame (i'll admit it) but that episode is def not. talk about it at school tomorrow, or work, or wherever you go and i guarantee you it will make your life more enjoyable!

yesterday i had to go to a classical guitar concert...because im in a guitar class and we have to go to so many concerts over the semester and it was free and at school so i went...lame! i think it took about 4 years off my life! and the artist, if thats what you call him, stood up between every song and bowed....not once....but twice...and didn't like just bow twice...he definitely sat down between each bow...thats just weird.

so thats all...i have to do something cool so i can blog about it...ohhh tontie im going to see he's just not that into you...so ill letcha know how it goes.....later!

oh me and J went on a date and that is def oooover....we dont click so much when sober :)
